About Producer Nerdy stuff Serving

La Rioja Alta, a renowned wine producer, crafts exquisite wines in the picturesque region of La Rioja, Spain. With a history stretching back over a century, their wines capture the essence of tradition and quality. They blend the noble Tempranillo grape with other varieties to produce red wines of exceptional character.

Fermentation

The grapes were picked by hand, placed in 300 kg boxes and transported in refrigerated platforms to the winery to preserve their qualities. After destemming and crushing, the grapes were placed in tanks where alcoholic and malolactic fermentation took place naturally.

Maturation

This wine was aged for two years in American oak barrels made by in-house coopers —new ones in the first year and four-year-old barrels in the second year.
