Podere La Villa Toscana Giacomo, Tuscany, Italy 2020

Podere La Villa Toscana Giacomo.

Alcohol: 15.5% Region: Italy, Tuscany

About 50 years ago, Tuscany began cultivating international varieties, including Bordeaux varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, known as Super Tuscans. The warmer climate, varied soil profiles, and winemaking traditions contribute to a unique style of Merlot, usually fuller in body and often showcasing a tobacco note. This bottle comes from a very small, family owned estate, only 20 years old. The estate practices organic farming and handles grapes carefully to preserve the sense of place.
